Abraham and the stars

Genesis 15:5

“The LORD brought him outside, and said, "Look now toward the sky, and count the stars, if you are able to count them." He said to Abram, "So your offspring will be."”

Abraham and Sarah were very old and had no children. One night God took Abraham outside his tent and said: look at the sky and count the stars, if you can! There were so many that no one could count them. Then God promised: your family will be like that, as many as the stars. It seemed impossible, but Abraham believed God. And at just the right time, Isaac was born, the son of the promise. Sarah laughed with joy!

💡 What we learn

Nothing is impossible for God. We can trust Him even before we see the answer.

💬 Let's talk

Have you ever waited a long time for something? What is it like to trust God while you wait?

🙏 Let's pray

God, I trust You. Teach me to wait with faith, like Abraham. Amen.
