Joseph forgives his brothers

Genesis 50:20

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive, as is happening today.”

Joseph's father gave him a colorful coat, and his brothers became very jealous. So jealous that they sold him as a slave to Egypt! Joseph went through very hard times; he was even put in prison without doing anything wrong. But God was with him the whole time. One day Joseph became governor of Egypt and stored food for when the famine came. When his hungry brothers arrived, Joseph could have taken revenge, but he chose to forgive them and hug them.

💡 What we learn

God can turn sad things into good things. And forgiving is a beautiful way to show God's love.
