Noah and the rainbow

Genesis 9:13

“I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.”

People had forgotten God and were doing many wrong things. But Noah loved God and obeyed Him. God asked Noah to build a huge ark, a boat as big as a building! Noah obeyed, even when people laughed at him. Then the animals came into the ark, two by two. It rained for many days and the water covered everything, but Noah, his family and the animals were safe inside. When the water went down, God put a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His promise to care for the earth.

💡 What we learn

It is worth obeying God, even when others don't. And God always keeps His promises.

💬 Let's talk

How do you feel when you see a rainbow? What does it remind us of?

🙏 Let's pray

Lord, thank You for keeping all Your promises. Help me obey like Noah did. Amen.
