Ruth, the faithful friend
Ruth 1:16
“Ruth said, "Don't urge me to leave you, and to return from following you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.”
📖 Ruth 1:16Naomi had lost her husband and her sons, and she was very sad. She decided to go back to her homeland, Bethlehem. Ruth, her daughter-in-law, could have stayed in her own country, but she said: where you go, I will go; your God will be my God. In Bethlehem, Ruth worked gathering grain in the fields so the two of them would have food. Boaz, who owned the field, saw Ruth's kindness and took care of them. Ruth and Boaz got married, and King David was born from their family.
💡 What we learn
Being faithful and caring for those in need pleases God. He sees every act of kindness.
