Samuel hears God calling

1 Samuel 3:10

“The LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, "Samuel! Samuel!" Then Samuel said, "Speak; for your servant hears."”

Samuel was a boy who lived at the temple and helped Eli the priest. One night, as he lay down, he heard someone calling: Samuel! He ran to Eli: here I am! But Eli said: I didn't call you, go back to sleep. This happened three times. Then Eli understood that God was calling the boy. The next time, Samuel answered: speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. And God spoke to Samuel, who grew up loving and serving God.

God speaks to children too! We can hear God when we read the Bible and pray.
